Texting In The Dark
Don't you just hate it when you get those late night texts?
Shows I need to make more caps when one folder alone holds over 1600 images! Oh well, means I've got a good stock to work with when creativity is about!!
Guardian article today describes progress at Wake Forrest University institute working on growing replacement organs. They are producing bladders and vaginas now, The four vaginas inserted in the first test subjects have been a success the last few years. Now they are getting ready to begin transplanting partial grown in lab penises. They expect to grow full size penises for transplant with the patient's cells in a few years. Rabbit penises they have grown and transplanted have been succcessfull in reproduction. But a completely functional full sized human penis is an exponentially greater challenge. Never the less they are making great progress.
So, with the birth of several babies to women with transplanted uterus (i?) and successful insertion of lab grown vaginas, those like me can begin to imagine that maybe they can have functioning reproductive sex organs that match who they really are.. I can lactate now, but a more functional, complete female breast would be better. Maybe, I can dream of that sooner rather than later. Probably won't be practical/affordable for me in time. But nice to imagine that in the future those like me could avoid the life I have had to endure. Love
